What owners describe

“Driver side seat, lower molding breaking. Stress from entering and exiting the vehicle. Know issue from research I've done”Sep 4, 2026 · Seats · NHTSA owner report
“Interior door handle broke, driver side. Vehicle is just over a year old with 7K miles. Apparently Toyota has confirmed this is defective part, the item is currently back ordered and I'm at 10 plus days waiting for a replacement. This prevents a safety hazard on exiting the vehicle in an emergency.”Sep 3, 2026 · Structure · NHTSA owner report
“Right rear passenger window failed. Came out to my vehicle at 4pm 5/4/2026 at work in a secure lot. Right rear passenger window appeared exploded out. Almost all of the glass was on the ground, only some of the tempered glass fell in onto the seat. Took many pictures showing the glass bowed out. Filed a police report. …”May 9, 2026 · Visibility/Wiper · NHTSA owner report

Sources & method

Safety Signal starts every model-year at 100 and subtracts points per open NHTSA recall campaign by severity: critical 15 (fire risk, park-outside or do-not-drive advisories), high 8 (brakes, steering, airbags, loss of drive power, structure, battery), moderate 6, minor 3 (software, labels, lighting fixed by an update). Floor 35. A ≥ 90, B ≥ 80, C ≥ 70, D ≥ 60, otherwise F. Complaint counts and NHTSA crash ratings are shown separately and are not blended into the grade.

EPA figures come from fueleconomy.gov vehicle records. Recalls, complaints, investigations and crash ratings come from NHTSA's public flat files, refreshed weekly.
